Joa Herrenknecht

The young female Designer concentrates on clear cut geometric form language in combination with vivid colors and new materials, with a focus on solid, natural materials (like metal/ leather/ wood/ porcelain and natural textiles). She works flexible in many different genres ­ including furniture, accessories, lamps, small objects and other interior related goods as well as packaging design. It’s her personal believe that the look of an object or a surrounding is influenced by the way shapes, colors and materials are combined, transporting an unconscious message to the recipient. The aim of the designer is to create a comfortable ambiance and unique objects with a special twist, evoking interest and being steadily functional for everyday use.

This is why Studio Joa Herrenknecht started to work on interior designs as well. The first project realized in autumn 2014 was a personal fitness studio in Berlin ­ including the branding (logo), the custom made furniture and the overall interior design of 300sqm (on two floors). Working on wholesome projects like this is a new approach of the studio and the designer is looking for further project cooperations. Also it is her aim to work both ­on special, limited editions for galleries, as well as on commercial and industrial projects for established brands.
